Copper Mine Ranch of Llano County

* This is truly one of the absolutely prettiest and rugged hidden gems of Llano County & the Texas Hill Country!  This Beautiful ranch has been in the Hiilsmeier family for 100+ years(1913) and operated as a cattle & hunting ranch.

The land lays in North Central Llano (65%) & Southern San Saba (35%) Counties. The Ranch offers some the BEST views in North Llano county, multiple hill tops, ridge lines and 4+ good ponds & several W/W creeks, including the headwaters of Pecan and Wolf Creeks.  The topography lends areas to build ponds or even large lakes. There are 2 windmill water wells, one solar water well,  electricity & 3 sides of the fencing are in excellent condition. The North fence is in need of some repair but can turn a cow. There are dozens of spectacular home-sites or areas for a homestead with Big Views!

The trees are spectacular with tremendous Live Oaks, Post Oaks, Blackjack, Elm trees, Mesquite, very little cedar & acres of canopy created by wild Mustang grapes.. This ranch offers Great Turkey, whitetail deer, occasional Axis, dove & hog hunting. There are several awesome granite outcrops with small caves.  There is an old field area of 10+/- acres that could easily be reclaimed within a couple days with the right machinery.  The hunters have been on this ranch over 25 years and have been great stewards of this deer herd.

The minerals were  reserved in 1913 by the old “Texas Copper Co.”.  The current access is a prescriptive easement through 3 ranches (3 gates) and provides great privacy & seclusion.  That said, we are currently negotiating a new access and will allow for simple in & out access.
